Kylie Kelce has a few phrases she’d like to ban ― but there’s one in particular that “really hits close to home” for her right now.
She named the four-word phrase during the segment in her podcast aptly titled, “You Know What’s Fucked Up?”
“Hey, you know what’s fucked up? The phrase ‘bounce back after pregnancy.’ Oh, my God,” she exclaimed. “Here’s the problem: Every single person I’ve seen grow a human being and pop ’em out, have rebounded in their own time.”
Kelce explained why she doesn’t think people need to comment on how a woman “is doing with her postpartum journey physically.”
“I think we should be more concerned about the overall well-being of women postpartum,” she said. “I don’t think that we need to ‘bounce back.’ Ugh.”
“I can’t bounce back my stretch marks,” Kelce explained. “They’re with me forever. Do I like them? Let’s be honest: NO! I liked when my tummy didn’t have a bunch of little ridges in it. But guess what, it does! Do I still look damn good? Yes.”

The high school field hockey coach then zeroed in on the most frustrating element around the “bounce back” phrase.
“I feel like the worst piece about the bouncing back is that it is comparison to either your body before you had kids, or people around you. Cut it out,” she said. “We do not need to compare ourselves, ladies. You don’t need to compare yourselves to the person you were before kids, because — news flash ― she didn’t fucking have kids.”
Kelce often gets candid about motherhood on her hit podcast, where she talks about life as a mom to four girls.
Kelce and her husband, Super Bowl champ Jason Kelce, welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley “Finn” Kelce, in March. The two also are parents to Wyatt, 5; Elliotte, 4; and Bennett, 2.
Lest you think she is a parenting expert the fourth time around, Kelce has humbly joked that the couple is still “absolutely wingin’ it” and “still googling things.”
“I actually still have no idea what I am doing,” she said on her podcast in May.
